Web site and web application development
Since 1993, web site and web application development have been the life-blood of
Castagna.net. When we decided to make the transition from graphic design for print
to graphic design for the web, things were very different.
Back then there was just one language - HTML - to author a web page.. There was
nothing terribly fancy that could be done as the web was certainly in its infancy.
The best we could hope for was a close approximation to an existing printed piece.
Oh, how the years have changed the landscape. Now the web has become its own medium
with capabilities that dwarf traditional advertising mediums.
Castagna.net still ends up creating HTML, but we have a much bigger bag of tricks
we can use.
Primarily, we develop our client's projects using Microsoft's .NET Framework using
C# as the preferred development language and our database of choice is Microsoft
SQL 2005. Always wanting to be as valuable and relevant in the market place as possible,
we have also added PHP and mySQL to our list of capabilities.

NatureScape

NatureScape is a full-service landscaping company and wanted a site that reflects
their creativity and capabilities.
We made ample use of "new" presentation techniques to create a dramatic visual presence
without detracting from the images of their projects.

Unlimited REALTY
|
A new Real Estate company was looking for a site that would allow their agents to
showcase their listings and allow prospective clients to communicate easily.
Several innovations were made for this site including the ability to forward a property
to a friend, contact an agent directly from the web site and self-management of
related links. This site was the corner-stone for our RealEstateOne solution.

Unlimited HOME Solutions
|
Unlimited HOME Solutions is the sister company to Unlimited REALTY, hence the complimentary
color scheme and logo design.
This site is largely self-managed by the client by virtue of its SQL database. This
allows the client to modify the models being presented by the various modular home
builders.

CSRA Home Services
|
This home inspection company was looking for a fresh presence as they entered a
new market.
The focus for this site was to present the value of home inspection services to
a home buyer in a graphically pleasing manner. This site interfaces with the Google
calendar to provide scheduling of inspections directly from the web interface.
